Having an online resume is practically a necessity for a freelance writer. It is important to be aware that your online resume may need to differ from your standard paper resume. Instead of focusing on past places where you worked, your online resume should focus on past projects that you have worked on. List the projects that you have worked on, what your part in the project was, and who you worked for. You may be better off to think of your online resume as a website rather than a resume. You can post links to your work with a brief description of each. Post samples of your best work. Be sure to include a variety of writing samples, a bio, and client testimonials.
